1987
From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leadership: Founded in 1987 as a manufacturer of ship outfit equipment, Shoft quickly expanded its expertise to become a turnkey contractor, collaborating with multiple shipyards along India's west and east coasts until 2004

From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leadership: Founded in 1987 as a manufacturer of ship outfit equipment, Shoft quickly expanded its expertise to become a turnkey contractor, collaborating with multiple shipyards along India's west and east coasts until 2004
2004
In 2004, it commenced its own shipyard on a small plot of land by the banks of the river Narmada. Over the years, Shoft has consistently invested in enhancing its infrastructure, acquiring new equipment, features, facilities, and additional land to develop a world-class yard.
2013
In 2013, Shoft earned the Warship Construction License from the Government of India. Two years later, in 2015, the company achieved a major milestone with the commissioning of INS Astradharini, the first auxiliary naval vessel equipped with weapon outfit, into the Indian Navy.
2017 - 2021
From 2017 to 2021, under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme of the "Make in India" initiative, Shoft collaborated with a public sector defense shipyard to fabricate and transport modular mega hull blocks, contributing to the construction of two destroyers and four frigates. This period showcased Shoft's commitment to fearless innovation.
2022
In 2022, building on the success of the PPP collaboration, Shoft completed and delivered the entire hull of a destroyer.
Today
As of today, Shoft has successfully constructed more than 80 Commercial/Defence ships of various types and sizes with many falling into the "First of its kind" category.
